Yanga Information Officer Hassan Bumbuli has said they are determined to end the season by winning the Azam Confederation Cup (ASFC) after missing out on the Premier League title
The Yanga squad returned to Dar es Salaam yesterday from Dodoma where they completed the major league season by being forced to draw against Dodoma Jiji
Bumbuli said the goal they had at the start of the season was to win every title they participated in including the Premier League title
However, they failed to win the VPL title after earning many draws in matches they shoukd have won
"The team is back in Dar es Salaam, camping to prepare for our final game against Simba, that will be our last game this season and we are determined to win to become the FA Cup Champions. "said Bumbuli.
"We missed the major league title due to the mistakes we made, we got a lot of draws but all in all, we have given up, we are moving forward. As our motto says, Yanga is always ahead, so we look to the future "
Yanga are the only team to lose a few games last season, losing just two games against Coastal Union and Azam FC
However, they drew 11 matches, which disrupted their plans of winning the Title
