The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the appointment of an interim technical team to lead the national team, the Black Stars, in their November match against Somalia, as the search for a permanent head coach continues following the end of the association’s partnership with Carlos Queiroz.
The interim team will be led by Kim Lars Björkegren, assisted by Ibrahim Tanko and Godwin Attram. Fatawu Dauda has been appointed goalkeeping coach. Their responsibilities will focus on ensuring the team is adequately prepared for the fixture while the association continues its search for a permanent technical leader.
The appointment is intended to ensure continuity in Ghana’s preparations during this transitional period as the Black Stars get ready for their international commitments. However, the initial announcement indicates that the interim coaching team has been assembled specifically for the November fixture, without specifying when a new permanent head coach will be announced.
