Yanga SC Media and Communications Manager Ally Kamwe has explained why goalkeeper Djigui Diarra missed the team’s final training session ahead of tomorrow’s CAF Champions League match against Madagascar’s CFFA FC.
Kamwe said Diarra experienced a minor back problem, which kept him out of the important final training session before the Jangwani-based side faces its opponents.
He added that an official update on whether the goalkeeper will miss the match will be provided after an assessment of his condition, as the technical bench awaits further information before making a final decision.
Diarra’s absence from training has raised questions among Yanga supporters given his importance to the squad, particularly ahead of a continental fixture that requires thorough preparation.
For now, Yanga fans are awaiting further updates on the goalkeeper’s condition and whether he will be fit to feature against CFFA FC.
