Simba SC Chairman Murtaza Mangungu has claimed that his team had the ability to score 10 goals against Young Africans (Yanga) in the Kariakoo Derby if the players had been more clinical in front of goal.
Mangungu made the remarks after Simba secured a 2-1 victory over their traditional rivals in the highly anticipated derby.
According to Mangungu, Simba created opportunities to score more goals, but a lack of composure in front of goal prevented them from turning those chances into a much bigger victory.
His comments underline the club leadership’s satisfaction with the win, while suggesting that Simba could have secured a more emphatic result against their arch-rivals.
