Simba spokesperson Ahmed Ally has said the team is expected to return tomorrow from South Africa after spending several days in camp as part of preparations for the new season.
Ahmed Ally said Simba played two friendly matches during the camp, losing both games, but the results helped the team identify areas that need improvement ahead of the official competitions.
“Our team will return tomorrow from South Africa, where we spent several days in camp. We are happy that we lost both friendly matches we played.
We now know where we went wrong, and coach Steve Barker has five days to make the necessary corrections,” Ahmed Ally said.
Simba will now return to Tanzania with limited time to address the weaknesses exposed during the friendly matches, as the technical bench has five days to make the necessary adjustments.
