FC Dallas winger and forward Bernard Kamungo, 24, has completed all the necessary procedures to become eligible to represent Tanzania’s national team, Taifa Stars.
Kamungo has successfully obtained a Tanzanian passport, a step that now makes him eligible to represent the country in upcoming international matches, should he be called up by the Taifa Stars coaching staff.
The player, who has been playing football in the United States, could now provide another important option in Taifa Stars’ attacking department, given his ability to play both as a winger and a forward.
His arrival in the Tanzania squad could increase competition and provide more options for the coaching staff, especially as the team prepares for upcoming international fixtures.
For now, attention will turn to the next step of his potential call-up to the Taifa Stars squad and how he could be used if given the opportunity to wear the Tanzania shirt.
