TRA United are reportedly set to appoint former Tanzania national team coach Hemed Suleiman, 56, as their new head coach, replacing Etienne Ndayiragije, who was dismissed a few days ago.
Hemed is set to return to competitive football with the task of guiding TRA United through a period in which the club is seeking greater consistency in its results.
Hemed’s expected arrival follows earlier reports linking TRA United with former Mbeya City coach Meckie Mexime, who is said to have overseen the team’s training session on Tuesday while the club was in the process of appointing a new head coach.
However, TRA United have opted to hand the position to Hemed, who has extensive experience in Tanzanian football, including a spell as part of the Taifa Stars technical bench.
The coach now faces the task of rebuilding TRA United and ensuring the team produces the results needed to move into a stronger position after a slow start to the season.
