Simba SC attacking midfielder Clatous Chama has opened up about the difficult period he went through after leaving Msimbazi to join their arch-rivals, Yanga SC, admitting that the decision brought him significant regret.
Chama said the day he signed his contract with Yanga was not a good day for him, explaining that he regretted the decision and later tried to contact Yanga’s leadership in an attempt to reverse the move and return to Simba. However, his request was rejected. “I called the Yanga President and told him I was ready to return everything so I could go back to Simba, but he refused,” Chama said.
Reflecting further on that period, Chama said he had never planned to join Yanga and that the decision happened outside his original plans. However, he said returning to Simba brought happiness to both him and his family, and he is now continuing to serve the club and contribute to the team this season.
