Raja Casablanca have been thrown into uncertainty after head coach Nasreddine Nabi left the city of Casablanca and travelled to Brussels, amid reports of growing tensions within the club’s management.
The main source of the dispute is reportedly a disagreement between Nabi and the club’s sporting director, particularly over transfer matters. Nabi was expected to have a significant influence on recruitment decisions following his appointment as head coach, but the sporting director is alleged to have sought greater control over the process.
One of the incidents that reportedly intensified the tensions involved the attempted signing of Maseko. Nabi is said to have contacted the player while he was still head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns and reached a preliminary agreement with him. However, the move was later opposed by the sporting director, leaving Nabi unhappy with the way the club handled the situation.
The reports further claim that the sporting director had already begun talks with another coach around three weeks ago, while Nabi was still in charge.
The situation has raised fresh questions over Nabi’s future and the internal management of Raja Casablanca, with supporters now waiting for the club’s next move amid growing uncertainty surrounding the head coach.
