Simba SC are the new CRDB Federation Cup champions after edging Azam FC 1-0 in the final played at Gombani Stadium in Pemba.
The winning goal came via an own goal by Azam midfielder Yahya Zaid, who inadvertently turned the ball into his own net while attempting to deal with a dangerous set-piece delivered by Simba winger Libassa Gueye.
It is Simba's first FA Cup triumph since the 2020-21 season, when they defeated arch-rivals Yanga in the final. The victory also marks Simba's second trophy of the 2025-26 campaign, having already lifted the Muungano Cup earlier in the season.
The final also saw Azam FC reduced to 10 men after attacking midfielder Feisal Salum was shown a straight red card for deliberately striking Simba winger Libassa Gueye.
