Djigui Diarra finishes the season as the clean sheets king

Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra has capped off the 2025/26 NBC Premier League season as the league's clean sheets leader, keeping18 shutouts and once again proving why he is regarded as one of the finest goalkeepers in African football.

The Mali international played a crucial role in Yanga's defensive success throughout the campaign, consistently producing outstanding performances between the posts. His sharp reflexes, excellent positioning, and ability to make decisive saves in key moments helped Yanga secure valuable points across the season.

Beyond his 18 clean sheets, Diarra impressed with his command of the penalty area, confidence in dealing with aerial balls, effective communication with his defenders, and accurate distribution that often-launched attacks from the back.

His calmness under pressure made him one of the team's most reliable performers. His statistics highlight his consistency, finishing the season with the highest number of clean sheets in the NBC Premier League, underlining both his individual brilliance and Yanga's defensive strength.

With another remarkable campaign behind him, Djigui Diarra has further cemented his reputation as one of East Africa's top goalkeepers and remains a key figure in Yanga's pursuit of domestic and continental success.
