Yanga SC midfielder Allan Okello has achieved a rare milestone by winning league titles in two different countries during the same 2025/26 football season, underlining his quality and consistency at the highest level.
The Ugandan international started the season with Vipers SC, where he played a crucial role in helping the club secure the Uganda Premier League title before making a mid-season switch to Tanzania's giants, Yanga SC.
After joining the reigning champions, Okello quickly adapted to his new environment and became one of the team's most influential players. During his seven-month spell with Yanga, the talented playmaker produced a series of outstanding performances, contributing important goals, assists, and creative displays that helped the club successfully defend the NBC Premier League title.
His vision, technical ability, and leadership in midfield made him a key figure throughout the title race. By lifting league trophies in both Uganda and Tanzania within the same season, Okello has earned two league winners' gold medals, an achievement accomplished by only a handful of players in African football.
It also marks the first league championship of his career won outside his home country of Uganda, making the accomplishment even more special.
The historic feat further cements Allan Okello's reputation as one of East Africa's finest footballers and highlights the immediate impact he has made since arriving at Yanga SC. His success serves as a testament to his professionalism, talent, and determination to excel wherever he plays.Β
