Manchester City are continuing to show their commitment to investing in long-term talent after reports emerged that the club is considering a move for Moroccan teenage midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, potentially in the summer of 2027.

The highly-rated youngster, regarded as one of the brightest emerging talents following his impressive performances with Morocco at the World Cup, has already attracted strong interest from City’s recruitment team.

City Make Initial Contact

Reports suggest that Manchester City have already made initial contact with the player’s representatives, fully aware that competition for his signature will be intense, with several Premier League clubs also monitoring his progress closely.

However, Lille are maintaining a firm stance on the midfielder’s future, with the French club reportedly planning to keep him for at least one more season before entering serious transfer negotiations.

Price Tag Set High

According to available reports, Lille value Bouaddi highly and are expected to begin negotiations at around €75–80 million plus add-ons, reflecting the club’s belief in his long-term potential.

European Transfer Battle Brewing

Beyond Manchester City, several top Premier League clubs are also showing strong interest in the versatile midfielder, making his potential transfer one of the most competitive battles in upcoming windows.

With his age and growing reputation, Ayyoub Bouaddi is increasingly viewed as part of the next generation of elite European midfielders. Should Manchester City succeed in securing his signature, it would further strengthen their long-term project of maintaining dominance in European football.
