Uganda national team captain and defensive midfielder Khalid Aucho is reportedly in talks with Singida Black Stars over the early termination of his contract, despite the deal being due to expire at the end of the 2026/27 season.
According to a reliable source, both parties have begun discussions aimed at reaching a mutual agreement to terminate the contract.
Aucho joined Singida Black Stars last season from Yanga SC after completing a successful three-year spell with the Tanzanian giants. However, his time at Singida has been far from smooth.
The experienced midfielder has struggled with recurring injuries that have forced him to miss several matches. In addition to his fitness problems, he was also suspended by the club over alleged disciplinary issues before eventually being reinstated to the squad.
During his time at Yanga, Aucho was one of the club's key players, helping the team achieve major success in both domestic and continental competitions. His performances established him as one of the top defensive midfielders in East Africa.
Reports also suggest that Aucho could make a return to his former club, Gor Mahia of Kenya.
