Photos circulating on social media have put FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the center of discussion after he appeared to be at two different 2026 FIFA World Cup stadiums at what was claimed to be the same time.
One photo showed him at NRG Stadium in Houston during Germany's match, while another showed him at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia during the match in which Ivory Coast defeated Curaçao 1-0. The images sparked jokes and questions because the two cities are more than 2,000 kilometers apart.
Although there is no confirmation that Infantino was at both stadiums simultaneously, the photos have continued to fuel debate about FIFA officials' schedules and how images shared on social media can sometimes be misleading when presented without proper context.
What do you think? Was it simply a misunderstanding caused by the timing of the photos, a FIFA communications strategy, or do you have another explanation for what happened?
