The Acting Information Officer of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), Yahya Abushehe, has said that the remaining days of the NBC Premier League will provide answers to many questions troubling football fans in the country, including who will win the championship, who will survive in the league, and who will be relegated.
Abushehe made the remarks after praising how all eight matches of the previous round were played simultaneously and broadcast live on Azam TV, a move he said has increased competition and given fans an opportunity to closely follow everything happening in the title race and relegation battle.
He explained that attention will now shift to the matches scheduled for June 27 and June 30, where the fate of the 2025/26 season will be decided.
The big question is whether the champion will be confirmed as early as June 27 or if the competition will continue until the final match of the season. Beyond the title race, Abushehe said the battle to survive in the top flight has also intensified, with some teams needing positive results to avoid relegation or play-off matches.
“All answers will be found in these final days of the season. Fans should continue following because every match is very important,” said Abushehe.
Currently, Tanzanian football fans are eagerly waiting to see who will be crowned NBC Premier League champions and which teams will achieve their targets before the season officially comes to an end.
