Singida Black Stars striker Ndumumwe Mossi has moved level with Feisal Salum "Fei Toto" in the race for the NBC Premier League Golden Boot after scoring twice against Tanzania Prisons yesterday.
The two goals took Mossi's tally to 14 league goals this season, matching the total of Azam FC midfielder Feisal Salum at the top of the scoring charts.
Since joining Singida Black Stars during the mid-season transfer window, Mossi has emerged as one of the club's key players, helping the team secure qualification for next season's CAF Confederation Cup.
While Mossi and Fei Toto are tied at the summit, Yanga's Allan Okello, Pamba Jiji's Mathew Tegisi, and Namungo FC's Fabrice Ngoy are close behind with 11 goals each.
For Simba, Suleiman Mwalimu remains the club's leading scorer with nine goals, a tally matched by Yanga stars Prince Dube, Pacome Zouzoua, and Mudathir Yahya.
With only two matches remaining in the season, Mossi and Fei Toto appear to be the strongest contenders to claim the league's top scorer award.
