Arusha continues to shine as AFCON 2027 stadium takes on a new look

Preparations for the 2027 AFCON tournament are gathering momentum in Arusha as the construction of a new state-of-the-art stadium continues to make impressive progress day by day.

The stadium's growing structure reflects significant development, raising hopes among Tanzanians ahead of the historic competition. The government, in collaboration with contractors, has reaffirmed that the project remains on schedule, with key infrastructure works—including spectator stands, players' facilities, and other essential amenities—progressing steadily.

The stadium is expected to be among the top venues that will host matches during AFCON 2027, a tournament that Tanzania will co-host alongside Kenya and Uganda. Once completed, the project is anticipated to boost the sports sector, promote tourism, and leave a lasting legacy in the development of sports infrastructure in Tanzania.
