Coaches from Simba SC and Coastal Union have spoken ahead of the CRDB Cup semi-final set for Saturday, June 20, at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha, with both sides expressing confidence and strong preparation.
SIMBA PROMISE STRONG FIGHT IN SEMI-FINAL
Simba head coach Steve Barker says his team is ready for a tough test against Coastal Union, insisting they are well prepared to secure a place in the final of the national competition.
Barker acknowledged the quality of their opponents but stressed that Simbaβs preparation is focused on achieving a positive result.
βWe have prepared well and we are ready for this CRDB Cup semi-final. We know the quality and difficulty of Coastal Union. The last time we met them at Mkwakwani, we had to come from behind to win,β said Barker.
He added that his squad is ready to deliver a strong performance to achieve their goal of reaching the final.

COASTAL UNION: WE RESPECT SIMBA BUT WE ARE READY TO COMPETE
On the other side, Coastal Union head coach Fikiri Elias said the match is a knockout fixture rather than a league game, meaning anything can happen on the day.
He noted that his team has prepared strategically and is aiming to produce a strong performance to reach the final.
βWe are going into a knockout match, not a league game. One team must progress to the final. We are well prepared tactically, although we know it will be a very difficult match,β said Elias.
Elias added that previous encounters with Simba have been a learning experience, and his side is now better prepared.
βHistory is there for us to learn from. We have learned from our past matches against Simba. Tomorrow you will see what we have learned,β he concluded.
