Football talent from Tanzania, Barka Seif Mpanda, has made history after joining the famous FC Barcelona academy, La Masia, on a five-year contract.
Barka becomes the first Tanzanian to join the globally renowned academy, known for producing world-class stars such as Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi Hernández, and Sergio Busquets.
The highly talented forward joins from CD Damm in Spain, where he impressed with outstanding performances that attracted the attention of the La Liga giants.
In his final season at CD Damm, Barka scored 41 goals in 28 matches, a record that made him one of the most closely followed young prospects in Spanish youth football.
His signing by Barcelona is the result of significant development in recent years, with his goal-scoring ability, pace, creativity, and tactical awareness highlighted as key factors behind La Masia’s decision to bring him in.
