Christian Eriksen has been placed under close medical observation following a sudden incident during an international friendly between Denmark and Ukraine played on Sunday night in Denmark, where he was seen collapsing and briefly losing consciousness.
According to the medical team, Eriksen received immediate treatment on the pitch and regained consciousness shortly afterward, with his condition beginning to stabilise.
Reports indicate that Eriksen is currently doing well overall and remains under specialist supervision. The cardiac monitoring device fitted in his body has reportedly functioned as expected, and no immediate serious complications were detected during the incident.
However, doctors have emphasised that further hospital examinations will be carried out to determine the exact cause of the sudden collapse.
"He will now undergo further medical tests to determine exactly what caused the incident. We are continuing to communicate with him and his medical team at the hospital," said the Denmark team doctor.
It has also been reported that Eriksen was able to communicate after the incident and sent messages to his teammates reassuring them that he was okay.
"Christian is doing fine, and he asked me to send his greetings to all the players and tell them that he is okay."
