Young Africans SC have officially launched a major project to construct their new stadium at Jangwani, Dar es Salaam, following a landmark 50-50 ownership agreement with GSM Group.

50-50 Partnership Between Yanga and GSM Group

Speaking during the signing ceremony held at Yanga headquarters in Jangwani, Dar es Salaam, Hersi said the club will provide land for the project, while GSM Group will finance the construction of the modern stadium.

“I officially confirm today that Young Africans SC has entered into a 50-50 ownership partnership agreement for our new stadium with GSM Group.”

He also expressed appreciation for Ghalib Said Mohamed’s contribution and his decision to ensure equal ownership in the major project, despite providing the largest share of financial investment.

“We sincerely thank Ghalib Said Mohamed for his patriotic spirit and his decision to maintain equal ownership in this major project, even though he is contributing the largest share of the financial investment.”

On the club’s side, Yanga will provide the land, while GSM Group will act as the main financial investor in the construction of the modern stadium.

“On the club’s side, Young Africans SC will provide the land for the project, while GSM Group’s contribution will be financial investment for the construction of this modern stadium,” said Hersi.

Hersi further stated that the stadium construction is expected to be completed within 18 to 20 months and will mark a new chapter in the club’s history.

“Our expectation is that the construction of this stadium will be completed and officially inaugurated within the next 18 to 20 months.”
