New Yanga Coach Abdilhamid Moalin Targets Winning Start Against Coastal Union

New Yanga head coach Abdilhamid Moalin has said he is ready to begin his tenure with a victory when his team faces Coastal Union tomorrow in a Tanzania Mainland Premier League match at KMC Complex Stadium.

Moalin, who has taken over from Pedro Goncalves, stated that preparations for the match have gone well and expressed confidence that his squad will deliver a strong performance in front of Yanga supporters.

The former Azam FC and KMC FC coach said all players are fully prepared for the important fixture and understand the high expectations from the defending league champions’ fans.

“Preparations for the Coastal Union match have gone smoothly. Every player is ready for the challenge. I have confidence in our players that they will give us their best. The truth is the players understand what the fans expect. Every player must focus fully on tomorrow’s game,” said Moalin.

In addition to promising a victory, Moalin said Yanga fans should expect to see their team playing attacking football and dominating possession throughout the 90 minutes.

“One thing I can promise Yanga fans is good football. As Yanga, we have our own style of play. The foundation of Yanga is to control the game. We respect Coastal Union, but we cannot abandon our identity. We want to dominate the pitch, not for a few minutes, but for the full 90 minutes,” he added.

The coach also stressed that despite his confidence, the team is not underestimating Coastal Union because of the quality within their squad. He also admitted that he has had very limited time to make major changes since taking over the role.

“To be honest, Coastal Union is a good team. We respect them just as we respect every other opponent. Our players fully understand that this will not be an easy match. We have had very little time to make changes within the team. We will use the little time available to fix what can be improved,” he said.
