Arsenal advance to the UEFA final for the second time in their history.

Arsenal Football Club has made new history by qualifying for the UEFA Champions League final for the first time since 2006, following a narrow 1–0 victory over Atlético Madrid. This win marks the end of a 20-year wait for the “Gunners” fans, who are now returning to the biggest stage in European club football.

The only goal of the match was scored by Bukayo Saka in the 45th minute, capitalizing on a crucial chance just before halftime to secure a historic victory for Arsenal. Saka was not only the goal scorer but also delivered an outstanding performance, showing composure, creativity, and great confidence at a decisive moment.

Defensively, Arsenal displayed a high level of discipline under coach Mikel Arteta, successfully preventing Atlético Madrid from posing any significant threat. Despite Diego Simeone’s efforts, his team failed to break through Arsenal’s solid defense, making Arteta’s game plan work perfectly.

Arsenal’s journey to the final carries great historical significance, as the last time they reached this stage was in 2006 in Paris, where they lost to Barcelona. Now, in 2026, they return once again to the final, which will be played in Budapest, carrying the hopes of a new generation of fans.

In the next stage, Arsenal will face the winner between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, with all eyes on that second semifinal clash. The Budapest final now awaits, and Arsenal are just one step away from achieving their dream of lifting the European trophy.
