Mlandege FC pulled off a surprise result after defeating Singida BS 2-1 in their Muungano Cup quarterfinal clash.
Following the earlier eliminations of Muembe Makumbi and KVZ, Mlandege have become the first team from Zanzibar to reach the semifinals of the tournament. They now await the winner of the match between Mafunzo and Simba.
Meanwhile, Singida BS will return to the mainland to continue preparations for their upcoming league fixtures and CRDB Cup matches.
