Azam FC head coach Florent Ibenge has described their upcoming Premier League clash against Simba, set for this Sunday at Azam Complex, as a meeting between two of Tanzania’s top teams that represented the country in CAF competitions this season.
Ibenge stated that in order to secure victory, his team must raise their level and outperform Simba on the day.
"Simba SC are not a small team; they are among the very best in Tanzania. When you look at how they play, it’s clear they are a strong side."
"It is a good team, so playing against Simba is not the same as facing other teams."
"They reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League, while we played in the CAF Confederation Cup, so this will be a big match between teams that competed in CAF group stages."
"In matches like this, we must raise our level, so we need to be better than Simba if we want to win," said Ibenge.
