Former Simba SC Chairman Ismail Aden Rage has advised the club to drop its pursuit of the case involving Yanga midfielder Mohamed Damaro Camara, stating that continuing with the matter is a waste of time and energy without any meaningful benefit.
Rage shared his opinion by emphasizing that there is no advantage for Simba in pushing the issue further following the decision made by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) to conclude the matter.
“I advise my leaders to let this matter go, it is only wasting our time. Even if we go to CAS, we cannot win, so it is better we focus on important matters that benefit our club,” Rage was quoted as saying.
His remarks come just days after TFF, through its relevant committee, dismissed Simba’s complaint, which questioned the legitimacy of Damaro’s registration.
In the ruling issued on April 2, 2026, TFF stated that there was no violation of registration regulations, allowing the player to continue representing Yanga without any restrictions.
Earlier, Simba had filed a complaint alleging that Yanga breached regulations by exceeding the allowed number of foreign players, a claim that was investigated and ultimately dismissed.
Despite the ruling, reports indicate that Simba had been considering taking the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), a move Rage has warned would likely not change the TFF’s decision and would instead result in wasted time and financial resources.
