The registration saga involving Yanga midfielder Mohamed Damaro Camara has taken a new turn after the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) Legal and Players’ Status Committee officially dismissed the case filed by Simba SC.
According to a statement released on April 2, 2026, by TFF Information and Communications Officer Cliford Mario Ndimbo, the committee found no grounds to proceed with the case after establishing that the player’s registration is valid and does not violate the cited regulations.
Simba had lodged a complaint claiming that Damaro’s registration resulted in Yanga having 13 foreign players, exceeding the league limit of 12 per team.
The club also argued that the registration breached Regulation 62(1) of the Premier League as well as FIFA’s player registration guidelines.
In its decision, the Legal and Players’ Status Committee clearly stated that the arguments presented by Simba lacked legal basis under the relevant regulations, and that the player is not subject to the conditions cited in the complaint.
Therefore, according to the committee, Mohamed Damaro Camara’s registration is valid and fully compliant with all applicable rules.
