Singida Black Stars head coach Othmen Najjar said his squad has completed meticulous preparations ahead of their Premier League match against Azam FC, scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, at Airtel Stadium in Singida.
Najjar explained that the team has focused heavily on refining both attacking and defensive tactics, urging his players to perform with discipline, concentration, and confidence to achieve positive results.
Meanwhile, Singida Black Stars winger Ayoub Lyanga stated that their main goal is to make the most of their home advantage to secure a win.
On the other side, Azam FC coach Florent Ibenge acknowledged that they are aware of the tough challenge awaiting them against Singida Black Stars on their home turf.
However, Ibenge emphasized that he has prepared his squad thoroughly to come out with a victory.
"It won’t be an easy match. Singida BS is not a small team. Last season, we (Azam FC) finished third while Singida was fourth. Both of us competed in the CAF Confederation Cup and reached the group stages. So tomorrow will be a big match, bringing together teams that represented Tanzania in CAF competitions," he said.
"I know we haven’t had a streak of good results against Singida BS here, but let me say we are here to change that history. We are here to win," Ibenge added.
Azam FC defender Nathaniel Chilambo stated that with their current preparations, they are not aiming to lose or draw the match; their sole focus is to secure a victory.
