Star attacking midfielder of FC Barcelona, Raphinha, will be sidelined for approximately five weeks due to a hamstring injury, which will rule him out of crucial club matches this season.
Raphinha sustained the injury while representing Brazil in a friendly match against France, which ended in a 2–1 defeat for Brazil.
Club and medical reports indicate that the injury will cause him to miss several important matches, including the UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie against Atletico Madrid, as well as key Spanish League fixtures.
The club has confirmed that Raphinha will return to Barcelona immediately for treatment and will begin a program to regain full fitness. His absence is a major setback for coach Hansi Flick, who had relied on Raphinha as a key player in the club’s attacking strategies.
Barcelona, currently holding a top position in La Liga with high expectations for advancing in European competitions, will now have to adjust their squad plans without the speedy and creative forward.
