Frank Lampard is shining with Coventry City, while Chelsea FC are being urged to bring him back to the touchline.

Frank Lampard, coach of Coventry City, is on the verge of making new history at the club, as calls grow louder about a possible return to Chelsea FC.

Lampard took charge of Coventry in 2024 when the team was at risk of relegation, but since then he has led a remarkable transformation. Under his leadership, Coventry have climbed into the promotion playoff spots, reached the top of the EFL Championship table, and opened up a nine-point gap over their rivals.

The team has also been highly impressive in attack, scoring 81 goals and becoming the league’s top-scoring side. Now, victories in their next three matches could secure the title and a return to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years.

These achievements have not gone unnoticed, with Nicky Butt publicly backing Lampard for a return to Chelsea. Butt believes the club should once again trust its former stars and give Lampard another opportunity to manage the team before the end of the season. As Coventry edge closer to a historic promotion and influential voices continue to push for his return to Stamford Bridge.

Lampard’s resurgence is becoming one of the most compelling stories in football right now.
