Yanga Confirm Dickson Job Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

Young Africans (Yanga) have confirmed that their vice-captain Dickson Job has undergone successful knee surgery in South Africa.

Job, a key central defender for both Yanga and the Tanzania national team Taifa Stars, sustained the injury earlier this month during a Mainland Premier League match against Simba at the New Amaan Complex Stadium in Zanzibar. The match ended in a goalless draw.

The defender suffered the injury after colliding with Simba attacking midfielder Inno Loemba, forcing him to leave the pitch. His place was taken by teammate Bakari Mwamnyeto for the remainder of the match.

Following medical examinations, Job was advised to undergo surgery in South Africa, a procedure that has now been completed successfully.

The 25-year-old defender is expected to be sidelined for approximately eight weeks or possibly longer depending on his recovery process.

His absence will be a significant blow for Yanga, who are entering a crucial stage of the season with several important matches ahead.
