Tanzania Prisons Target Strong League Finish Ahead of Yanga Clash

Tanzania Prisons head coach Shadrack Nsajigwa has stated that his team’s goal is to continue performing well in the NBC Premier League to avoid the risk of relegation.

Nsajigwa has started his duties with Prisons on a positive note, securing one point in their previous league match against Azam FC.

The team’s next league challenge is against defending champions Yanga, whom they will face on Thursday, March 12 at Sokoine Stadium.

Nsajigwa, a former captain of Yanga, acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming match but emphasized his determination to ensure his team does not lose.

“We know the strength of Yanga; they are a big team with great players, but we take it match by match. Every game is a battle for points to secure our position,” said Nsajigwa.

Before the league clash against Yanga, Tanzania Prisons will take to the field today in Chunya to face TMA in the CRDB Federation Cup Round of 32.

Meanwhile, Yanga will also play in the CRDB Cup, taking on Polisi Tanzania at the KMC Complex.
