The League Management and Operations Committee of the Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), in its meeting held on March 4, 2026, reviewed various incidents from league matches and made the following decisions.
Match No. 133: Dodoma Jiji FC 3–0 TRA United FC
TRA United FC: Issued a serious warning after their team arrived late at the stadium (11:41 pm instead of 11:30 pm).
Dodoma Jiji FC: Fined TSh 5,000,000 after the team manager failed to wear the official team uniform like other officials.
Players Andy Lobulka Bikoko (Dodoma Jiji), Muhsin Malima Makame and Mzamiru Yassin Said (TRA United): Each fined TSh 500,000 for deliberately delaying entering the pitch to avoid shaking hands with referees and opponents.
TRA United FC: Fined an additional TSh 5,000,000 for failing to submit the list of technical bench officials.
Match No. 080: Namungo FC 0–1 Young Africans SC
Referee Abdallah Mwinyimkuu (Singida): Demoted after repeated mistakes in interpreting the rules, including failing to take action when Namungo player Abdulkarim Kiswanya’s jersey was pulled by Yanga’s Mussa Damaro inside the penalty area.
Previous disciplinary action: The referee had already been punished in December 2025 by being removed from officiating duties for five rounds due to similar mistakes.
Match No. 077: Dodoma Jiji FC 0–0 Simba SC
Seleman Mwalimu (Simba SC): Suspended for three matches and fined TSh 1,000,000 for deliberately elbowing Andy Lobulka Bikoko.
Simba SC: Fined TSh 5,000,000 after their fans threw water bottles at Dodoma Jiji player William Edgar and Red Cross medical staff.
Dodoma Jiji FC: Fined TSh 5,000,000 after their Red Cross medical staff were seen deliberately delaying entering the field to waste time.
Fourth Official Charles Simon (Dodoma): Suspended for three months for allowing Dodoma Jiji to make substitutions in four separate intervals instead of the allowed three.
Dodoma Jiji FC: Fined another TSh 5,000,000 for making substitutions in four intervals contrary to league regulations.
Abdi Banda (Dodoma Jiji FC): Suspended for three matches and fined TSh 1,000,000 for refusing to leave the pitch on a stretcher after being injured in order to waste time.
Match No. 054: Young Africans SC 0–0 Simba SC
Simba SC: Fined TSh 5,000,000 for entering Amaan Stadium (Zanzibar) through an unofficial gate.
Simba SC: Fined another TSh 5,000,000 for refusing to use the official dressing room and instead using the press conference room.
Simba SC and Young Africans SC: Both clubs fined TSh 5,000,000 each after their security personnel fought and exchanged insults when Simba arrived at the stadium.
Simba SC: Ordered to cover the repair costs of the press conference room door that was damaged by their security personnel.
David Kameta (Simba SC): Fined TSh 1,000,000 after being seen pouring liquid on the pitch, an act interpreted as superstition.
Assistant Referee No.1 Kassim Mpanga (Dar es Salaam): Suspended for six months after wrongly disallowing a legitimate Simba goal in the 70th minute for offside, which video evidence later showed was incorrect.
Assistant Referee No.2 Hamdan Said (Mtwara): Suspended for three months for incorrectly flagging Yanga player Prince Dube offside in the 61st minute, stopping a valid attack.
