The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted today in Cairo, Egypt, the draw for the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League. The event marks the start of the knockout matches that will determine the four teams progressing to the semi-finals.
The draw, held at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association, was attended by CAF officials and representatives of the eight clubs that advanced to this stage.
Following the draw, the quarter-final fixtures are as follows: RS Berkane of Morocco will face Al Hilal Omdurman of Sudan; Espérance Sportive de Tunis of Tunisia will take on Al Ahly SC of Egypt; Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa will meet Stade Malien of Mali; and AS FAR of Morocco will play against Pyramids FC of Egypt.
The quarter-final matches will be played over two legs, with the first legs scheduled between March 13–15, 2026, and the second legs between March 20–22, 2026. The winners will then enter a new draw to determine the semi-final matchups, ultimately leading to the Champions League final.
Among the fixtures expected to generate high excitement is Espérance de Tunis versus Al Ahly, a clash anticipated to attract attention due to the rich international histories of both clubs. The Mamelodi Sundowns versus Stade Malien tie is also expected to be fiercely competitive given the strong records of both teams this season.
The quarter-final draw lays out the path to the final and enables CAF to plan subsequent matches efficiently, while football fans across Africa prepare for an exciting series of knockout matches that will decide this year’s club champions.
