Tanzania national team ‘Taifa Stars’ head coach Miguel Gamondi has signed a two-year contract extension to continue leading the national side.
Gamondi, who was initially appointed on an interim basis to guide Taifa Stars at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), has now been handed a longer-term deal after an impressive performance that saw Tanzania reach the Round of 16 for the first time in history.
He will remain in charge until 2028 and is expected to lead Taifa Stars at the 2027 AFCON tournament, which Tanzania will co-host alongside Kenya and Uganda.
