Dodoma Jiji FC have completed the signing of veteran striker Elias Maguli (34) in a move aimed at strengthening the team’s attacking department ahead of upcoming Tanzania Mainland Premier League matches.
Maguli is a well-known name in Tanzanian football, thanks to his vast experience and proven goal-scoring ability. Domestically, the striker has featured for several competitive clubs, including Simba SC, Ruvu Shooting, KMC FC, Geita Gold, Stand United, and Tanzania Prisons, where he delivered solid performances and left his mark at different stages of his career.
In addition to his local experience, Maguli has also enjoyed an international football journey, having played for clubs outside Tanzania. His overseas stints include FC Platinum (Zimbabwe), Nakambala (Zambia), AS Kigali (Rwanda), and Dhofar Club of Oman, experiences that have further enhanced his exposure to high-level competitive football.
The signing of Maguli is seen as part of Dodoma Jiji’s strategy to increase competition within the squad, particularly in the attacking unit, by blending experience with youth. His presence is expected not only to contribute goals but also to provide guidance and inspiration to the young strikers within the team.
