Azam FC have officially revived their hopes of progressing in the CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC) after securing a vital 2–1 victory over Nairobi United in a match played at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The match began with heavy pressure from the hosts Nairobi United, who made good use of their home ground and took an early lead in the 15th minute through Dancun Oluoch. The goal lifted the spirits of the home fans, who were hoping for their first home victory in the competition.
However, Azam FC did not lose heart.
