Yanga Set for Away Clash with Silver Strikers as Fans Mobilize Massive Support in Malawi

On Saturday, October 18, at Bingu Stadium, Yanga will play away against Silver Strikers in the first-leg match of the CAF Champions League qualifiers, seeking a ticket to advance to the group stage.

The good news for *Wananchi* (Yanga fans) is that they are assured of strong support, as in addition to those living in Malawi, a large convoy of supporters is departing today to boost the team’s morale for the crucial match.

Yanga’s Media and Communications Manager, Ali Kamwe, said that more than 40 buses are scheduled to leave today for Malawi.

“The convoy of members and fans will depart on Wednesday (today), and so far, we have confirmation of more than 40 buses heading to Malawi,” said Kamwe.

“The team officials and players will travel on Thursday. Upon arrival in Malawi, the team will have two or three training sessions before the match day on Saturday,” he added.

Yanga are determined to qualify for the group stage of the CAF Champions League for the third consecutive season. The *Wananchi* aim to get a positive result away before the return leg scheduled for October 25 in Dar es Salaam.
