Tanzania National Team (Taifa Stars) Head Coach, Hemed Suleiman Morocco, has urged journalists in the country to demonstrate patriotism by attending meetings and activities involving the national team in large numbers.
Speaking while announcing the squad that will enter camp on September 2, 2025, in preparation for two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches, Suleiman said it is disappointing to see low media turnout, unlike in other countries where journalists turn out in large numbers to support their teams.
"Journalists should support their team. Even if they criticize us, we see it as a challenge, but their presence is important as a sign of patriotism," Morocco said.
The coach added that strong media participation can boost motivation for both players and the technical bench ahead of international matches.
