Today was a special day for the wider Yanga SC family, as the club’s President, Engineer Hersi Said, paid a visit to former Yanga Secretary, Mzee Jabir Katundu, and presented him with the club’s new jerseys for the 2025/26 season.
Mzee Katundu, who served as the club’s Secretary between 1962 and 1966 under the late Chairman Mohamed Mabosti, presided over a historic era that helped solidify Yanga’s foundation and position it on the football map of Tanzania and East Africa.
During the visit, President Hersi Said presented all three editions of the newly released kits for this season, while also explaining to Mzee Katundu the inspiration and themes behind their design.
Each jersey carries a story and a symbol of respect for the club’s history and achievements, reflecting the unity between past generations and the present one.
