Azam FC yesterday confirmed the signing of central defender Edward Charles Manyama on a one-year contract, which will keep him at the club until 2026.
Manyama (31), a Tanzanian national, has a history of playing for various Tanzanian Premier League clubs, including Namungo FC, Azam FC, Ruvu Shooting, and Singida Black Stars.
He returns to the “Wanalambalamba” after terminating his contract with Singida Black Stars. Manyama’s arrival is expected to strengthen Azam FC’s defence ahead of the upcoming Premier League season, as the coaching staff continues to make improvements to the squad.
This is the second time Manyama has returned to the club, after coach Florent Ibenge requested his inclusion in the squad.
