Yanga's Communications and Media Manager, Ali Kamwe, has stated that the club is determined to build on its domestic success and perform even better in next season's CAF Champions League (CAF CL).
Kamwe boasted that significant financial resources have been invested in this transfer window to bring in players who will help Yanga achieve its ambitions in the prestigious continental competition.
"I’m over 80% confident that next season, Yanga will not only dominate domestically but also become a serious threat in the CAF Champions League."
"Last year, we didn’t perform well in the Champions League; we exited at the group stage. That disappointment angered our Club President, Engineer Hersi Said, who responded by making massive signings."
"You all heard him say that this year’s recruitment is the best in his four years of managing transfers at the club."
"He didn’t lie—this is a top-class recruitment, a window that involved a lot of money to ensure that when we return to the Champions League, we don't show up weak—we return as a powerful, heavyweight side capable of achieving great things," said Kamwe during the launch of the "Championship Brick Contribution" campaign in Geita.
Yanga has already begun preparations for the upcoming season, training at the KMC Complex under head coach Romain Folz.
