Simba SC Signs TSh 20 Billion Sponsorship Deal with Betway

Simba SC has today entered into a sponsorship agreement with UK-based company Betway. The three-year deal is valued at TSh 20 billion.

Speaking at the signing ceremony held earlier today at Johari Rotana Hotel in Dar es Salaam, Simba’s Acting CEO Zubeda Sakuru said the agreement marks a major transformation in Tanzanian football.

"The contract we've signed will revolutionize football in Tanzania and strengthens Simba's mission to become the number one club in Africa," she said.

"This sponsorship, worth TSh 20 billion over three years, demonstrates Simba's commitment to becoming a major force," Sakuru added.

Meanwhile, Betway Africa’s Head of Sponsorship, Jason Shield, said they chose Simba because it is one of the biggest and most well-known teams across Africa.

"We partnered with Simba because it’s a big team in Africa, a club that’s known across the continent — and that’s what we value in business. We’ve been following Simba for nearly six years, and now it's a reality. We're excited to make this happen."

"This is more than just a partnership — clubs must benefit from this deal. We work with many top teams globally, and that experience will help us make this partnership a success."

"I’m excited about this collaboration, and we’ll also work to explore how to build relationships with other top clubs we sponsor," he said.
