The transfer saga surrounding talented midfielder Feisal Salum ‘Fei Toto’ continues to take new twists, as Azam FC remains firm in refusing to release their star player. While Simba SC persists in pursuing him, Azam FC has set a high price tag, appearing to block potential suitors from acquiring the skilled midfielder.
According to reports, Fei Toto has already reached personal terms with Simba, where the Msimbazi Reds view him as their first-choice attacking midfielder, aiming to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new competitive season.
However, Azam FC shows no intention of letting him go easily, especially following the arrival of their new coach Frolent Ibenge. The club’s Head of Communications, Thabit Zakaria ‘Zakazakazi’, emphasized that Fei Toto remains Azam’s property, stating that the player still has one year remaining on his contract.
“Fei is our player and still under contract. We have no plans to sell him. Even those interested in him are well aware of this, which is why they haven't initiated any formal negotiations with us,” said Zakazakazi, dismissing circulating online rumors.
Zakazakazi further added that Fei Toto’s value has increased since joining Azam, saying:
“The value he commands now is a result of his time at Azam. Other teams didn't notice him before. At Azam, we developed him technically, gave him opportunities, and now he’s demonstrated his ability to lead teammates and secure victories.”
Meanwhile, reports from inside Simba suggest that efforts to secure the midfielder’s signature are ongoing behind the scenes. High-level negotiations between the two clubs are reportedly stalled, as Simba rushes to secure Fei Toto before the transfer window closes.
