FAR Rabat have officially parted ways with their defender Henock Inonga 'Varane' after just one season with the club.
Inonga, who was unveiled by FAR Rabat on July 13, 2024, has had his contract terminated following a report from Portuguese coach Alexander Santos.
The former Simba SC defender struggled to find form at the club, starting only five matches this season – four in the league and one in the CAF Champions League.
Inonga spent most of his time either on the bench or watching from the stands at FAR Rabat.
Earlier, coach Santos had expressed dissatisfaction with the defender’s performance and recommended to the club's military management that Inonga be released by January 2025.
Inonga has been released alongside four other players: Hicham Boussefiane, El Hassan Houbeib, Et-Tayeb Boukheriss, and Larbi Naji.
The Congolese centre-back had previously been linked with Yanga SC, who were in search of a central defender, but that move now seems unlikely.
