Simba SC Honorary President and billionaire businessman Mohammed Dewji, widely known as 'Mo', has announced that he has allocated substantial funds for player recruitment to ensure necessary improvements to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.
Mo made this statement yesterday in a special announcement posted through his social media platforms.
Additionally, Mo called upon Simba supporters to unite in pursuing the club’s goals, which include winning trophies and becoming the number one club in Africa.
"We will strengthen the technical bench to ensure our team receives the proper guidance needed to achieve success."
"We will also reinforce the Board of Directors, internal committees, and institutional systems to ensure sustainable success."
"I have allocated sufficient funds to ensure our team becomes even stronger, and with God’s grace, Simba will achieve even greater things."
"My fellow Simba fans, I have invested my time, sweat, blood, and money in Simba. Not for any other reason, but because of my genuine love for this club and our nation."
"I ask that we stand together, continue to trust and cooperate, and protect Simba’s honor. I promise I will never stop fighting for Simba—my dream remains unchanged: to make Simba the number one club in Africa, with God’s power," said Mo.
In another statement, Mo addressed those who have questioned his investment in Simba, revealing that since 2017, he has invested approximately TSh 87 billion in the club.
"I contributed TSh 20 billion as part of acquiring a 49% stake in Simba SC. In addition, I have often provided financial support outside the formal structure whenever urgent needs arose. From 2017 to 2024, I have spent approximately TSh 22 billion on emergency support, bringing my total contribution to Simba to TSh 87 billion."
