Aziz Ki Transfer Uncertainty: Yanga SC Await Wydad Deadline as Al Ahly Tripoli Remains on Standby

Amid ongoing uncertainty surrounding the future of Yanga SC’s star midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki, Libyan club Al Ahly Tripoli continues to closely monitor the progress of the deal, awaiting a chance to re-enter negotiations should Wydad Athletic of Morocco fail to finalize his signing, sources have revealed.

According to the agreement between Yanga SC and Wydad, the Moroccan club has until July 10 to complete the deal for Aziz Ki. If the agreement is not finalized by that date, Yanga will be free to make alternative decisions regarding the Burkinabé international—either reintegrating him into the squad or entertaining offers from other clubs.

Al Ahly Tripoli Still at the Table

Although their initial offer did not meet Yanga’s valuation, Al Ahly Tripoli has not given up. Sources within Yanga’s management indicate that the Libyan club has hinted at returning with a higher bid if Wydad fails to meet the deadline.

Currently, Aziz Ki is on holiday in his home country, Ivory Coast, awaiting the final decision on his future for the upcoming season.

Yanga Ready to Wait

As Yanga fans closely follow the situation, the club’s management appears patient and is preparing contingency plans to ensure the club’s interests are protected—whether that means welcoming back the talented midfielder or maximizing financial gain from a potential transfer.

Aziz Ki remains one of the most sought-after players in Africa, thanks to his exceptional talent and the significant role he has played in Yanga’s success over the past three seasons.
