Yanga Head Coach Miloud Hamdi has said that he has fully prepared his squad to ensure they defeat Simba tomorrow and win the NBC Premier League title.
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Hamdi acknowledged the difficulty of the derby match, whose outcome will determine which team will be crowned champions this season.
“This is a big match between two big teams. We respect Simba, and I know tomorrow’s game will decide who becomes champion—Simba or Yanga. Either team could win, but we are well prepared, and I hope we will get a good result and win the title to bring joy to our fans,” said Hamdi.
“Everything is in our hands. A win or even a draw will be enough for us to win the league, but Simba must win to become champions. I haven’t yet decided which tactics we will use for the game—maybe tonight or tomorrow morning we’ll finalize it. But I assure you, Yanga is not a small team. We won't just sit back and wait for the opponent,” he added.
Speaking about his squad, Hamdi confirmed that all players are ready for the match, except for Prince Dube who might miss out due to an injury sustained in the game against Tanzania Prisons.
Hamdi emphasized that winning the championship would be the ultimate reward for the team considering the challenges they’ve faced throughout the season.
“We've had good preparations, all players are ready, it’s only Dube (Prince) who is still recovering from injury. Aucho and Mudathir were left out of the last match due to accumulating three yellow cards, and we also rotated the squad in that game,” he explained.
“Our goal is to win this title and make our fans happy. It will be a championship full of joy and pride for us. This season we’ve faced many obstacles, it hasn’t been easy to reach this point,” Hamdi added.
While acknowledging Simba’s strong attacking force, Hamdi stated that he knows exactly which tactics to deploy in this crucial match and believes that tactical discipline and player readiness will determine the outcome.
“We know we’re up against a team with a strong attacking trio who can score at any moment, but I’m proud of our solid defense led by our captain Dickson Job, Bacca, and the rest of the defenders,” he said.
“We know in this match we must be defensively solid—if we concede, it will be a problem for us. But if we score, it will be a big problem for them. So we know exactly how we need to play this game,” he concluded.
