Simba Chairman Emphasizes Team’s Compliance with Football Authorities

The Chairman of Simba Sports Club, Murtaza Mangungu, has stated that Simba participates in various competitions in accordance with the regulations set by the relevant authorities.

Mangungu mentioned that the league board had initially scheduled match number 184 to be played on June 15, but later rescheduled it to June 25. As a football team, Simba's responsibility is to play football.

"The same authority that announced the match on the 15th is the one that announced it on the 25th. We have never questioned or debated it. What we have always emphasized is our readiness to participate in competitions as guided by football authorities."

"We exist for the purpose of competitions, and at the moment, the sport our team is involved in is football, which has its own procedures — one of which is that football authorities set the match schedules," said Mangungu.

Mangungu represented Simba at the State House in Dodoma, where they had been invited by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. The meeting brought together leaders from Simba, their rivals Yanga, and national football authorities.

Following that meeting, the league board announced the rescheduling of match number 184, which will now be the final match of the season.
